CITGO is the title sponsor for the Bassmaster Tournament Trail and is proud of
their affiliation with this popular group. With prize money in the hundreds of
thousands of dollars, the tournament series is by far the largest and most widely
viewed in the world.
CITGO wanted to highlight their affiliation with the tournament, as well as promote
the recent Angler of the Year winner, Gerald Swindle. The website does this and
more, including a winners list, tournament quotes, photos, and video highlights.
The website launched on July 7th at http://www.citgoangleroftheyear.com/ and
has already exceeded traffic expectations.
"CITGO was concerned about preserving their brand image while maintaining
the BASS brand, and we were able to deliver," Ben Talplacido, Creative Director
of Humankind, said. "They appreciated the complexities of maintaining both
brands, and were flexible enough to enable a dynamic and engaging site to be
built."
